Assistant Technical Officer
Full-Time • Entry Level • Field-Based🚀 Join Our Growing Team at IT9 Ltd!
We're hiring an Assistant Technical Officer to support the installation of our onboard hardware systems for public buses across the UK. Based in the East Midlands, this full-time, entry-level role is ideal for someone practical, hands-on, and eager to learn.
No experience? No problem — we provide full training, support, and clear procedures. You'll gain real-world technical skills, travel to customer sites, and work closely with our small, friendly start-up team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with hardware installation on buses (wiring, brackets, mounting devices)
- Support light assembly and preparation of components in our workshop
- Follow detailed installation and safety procedures
- Maintain accuracy and high standards of occupational health and safety
- Travel to customer sites as part of a team (occasional overnight stays)
What We're Looking For
- Good level of spoken and written English
- Outgoing, proactive attitude — comfortable working on-site with others
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Interest in electronics, mechanical work, or transport systems
- Willingness to travel and work occasional overtime
What We Offer
- 💰 £12.50/hour (rising to £13.50 after 3-month probation)
